This term the children will be introduced to the writing of Shakespeare. We have new Macbeth reading books They will continue to develop skills using Reciprocal Reading sessions and will also be introduced to further aspects of Bloom’s Taxonomy which encourages the children to think and read for deeper understanding.
The class will be working on aspects of grammar and punctuation including adverbs, prepositions and colons, semi colons and hyphens.

Maths
This term the children will continue to work on problem solving activities involving more complex addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Incorporated into the Kidnapped topic are concepts involving Time, Money and Scale. The children will also further develop skills and understanding related to Fractions, Decimals and Percentages.

Topic

Topic for this term (activities planned, school trips etc)
The interdisciplinary topic this term is ‘Kidnapped’ which the children have already started. They will be involved in different investigations to solve the kidnapping of Jack and Sarah Green.
This topic develops a vast range of skills in Science, Numeracy and Literacy and the children are very keen to take on the roles of detectives to complete different missions to solve the case.

The children in P7 have continued to work very hard, and very enthusiastically, in a range of responsibilities. These include being monitors,play leaders, credit union workers, eco-reps, pupil council, house leaders and school captains.
The class are very much looking forward to their Artsnet sessions beginning on Monday
